Community Planning Committee
Minutes, 18 February 2009
Present: Ron Meick, Danny Schweers, Ray Seigfried, and Sally Sharpe. Absent: Terry Colgan and Michael Falstad. Also in attendance were Larry Walker and Wally Scott.
Ray Seigfried called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. at the Buzz Ware Village Center.
Additional Domicile Units
Ray distributed the most recent list of ADUs for Arden for a last check.
Instant Ticketing
Larry Walker says New Castle County Councilman John Cartier says he will work to approve any solution Arden creates. Wally Scott suggests people who complain should not remain anonymous. Other suggestions were made by each to make the process fairer, as well as making the land use rules more lenient in the Ardens. It was agreed that our next meeting would be a public hearing on the issue: Wednesday, March 18, 7:00 p.m.
Community Gardens
Ron Meick agreed to serve as liaison with Community Gardens unless the Buzz Ware Village Center wanted the gardens under their committee.
Traffic Safety
Danny will make a motion at the March Town Meeting for safety improvements at the intersection of Harvey and Orleans Roads.
